New Boxer Puppies
Colby was "loving" his puppy.
Our female boxer Honey had a litter of 10 puppies on October 21st (Jeremy's birthday!) They are so pretty! There are 6 girls and 4 boys. Here are a few pictures at one day old. If anyone is in need of a new puppy let us know. They will be ready just in time for Christmas!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!
Today was Jeremy's 29th birthday. We began celebrating last Saturday with a family party at his brother's house. Then today we enjoyed some quiet family time and had a BEAUTIFUL cake made by Ms. Donna! Look at the cake pictures closely - it's Jeremy and Colby fishing! Thanks Donna for the wonderful cake and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMY!

Ahh...........The Scent of Autumn
So cute, but so sneaky!
This was the perfect Autumn afternoon. Colby and I went to the library to pick out our books for the week and then we came home and took a walk/bike ride on the gravel road behind our house. We talked about all the beautiful colors of the leaves and how God paints our world so nicely in Autumn.
When we got back to the house I cooked supper and we had a picnic outside. We enjoyed our meal and played a little while longer before we came in for bath time. After baths I was straightening up the house and Colby was playing in his room. I was thinking about our great Autumn afternoon and was remembering everything so vividly that I could still smell the cool crisp air................such a pleasant smell....................then I heard the whoosh.....................and realized that Colby had sprayed half a can of Febreeze "Autumn and Air Crisp" air freshener in his bedroom! Now the windows are up to keep us from choking to death on the scent. Ahh the smells of Autumn!

Kid Talk
My Little Man
If you want to know what kind of parent you are, then just listen to your kids when they play house! I had the funniest moment today. Colby was playing house with the neighbors niece (she is the prettiest little girl and SO funny!) and they were "honey" this and "honey" that the whole time they were playing. Their dialogue was priceless and here's a snippet.
Her - "What do you want for supper honey"
Colby - "Make me some pizza."
Her - "Okay, but I need some cheese. I'm out."
Colby - "Well you should have got it when you were already at the store!"
I rolled! That sounds just like something his dear old Daddy would say! Well........at least he picked up the sweet talk from Daddy!

Fall Activities

Jeremy teaching Colby how to cast a rod and reel in the line.
This week was Fall Break. We enjoyed our time together so much. Colby, Jeremy, and I were able to take a trip to Jackson's Orchard. I have posted one picture for now with more to come (we had a photographer go with us to take family portraits!).
Jackson's Orchard has been a favorite place for our family since Jeremy and I were dating,, long before we were blessed with our son. Over the years we have been able to take Colby every year (often more than once) and we always love the activities and scenery that this trip provides! This year Colby said that his favorite thing was the hayride!
We also spent some time fishing at a little pond in the community. Daddy was the only one who caught a fish, but we still had fun casting and reeling the line in and being together.
On Thursday Colby had his first sleep over. His cousin Zac came and spent the night and the boys had a great time playing and "staying up all night" (they made it till 1 am!). Now Colby is so excited with the sleep over concept that he has asked every child he has played with if they want to spend the night!
This time of the year is my favorite! It was the season when Jeremy and I started dating all those years ago and it always brings back so many fond memories for each of us. In addition, we both feel like it is the most beautiful time of year in Kentucky! God has made so many wonderful and amazing things and I think that the Fall season showcases those creations best!
Happy Fall Ya'll!
