From Worst to First

In case you haven't read my celebratory posts on Facebook recently, THE CARDINALS WON THE T-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! We are so proud of these super sweet boys!

For many of us this season brought us full circle. Three years ago when our little team began we had a season of scoreboards turned off (horribly behind our opponents!) and flower picking on the field. We were dead last in the league. Season two saw us to third place. This year we took it all!!!

These boys have learned so much. They love the game and they love each other. It has been wonderful to share this experience with so many sweet families. Our Cardinal days will surely be missed!

Way to go boys! We are so proud of you!!!

And special props to my favorite Cardinal! Colby we LOVE watching you play ball! You have learned how to make great outs at first, to hustle your best, and you can SLUG that ball!! Way to go Champ!

I can't wait to see what you learn next year on the "big field!"

And P.S. I LOVE our pitcher!!! Ha ha! Jeremy you did a great job! I would have cracked under the pressure of some of these games. Way to go babe!

Happy 7th Birthday Colby!!

Colby turned 7 on June 14th. I can't believe that my sweet boy is that old! It really struck a nerve when Jeremy pointed out that he is closer to a teenager now than he is a baby. Yikes!!

Colby wanted to have a bowling party again this year. It was tough to schedule with ball tournaments and church meetings, but a few of his friends were able to attend and they had a ball!!!

Colby is REALLY into Star Wars right now (a subject his mother knows NOTHING about!) so that was the theme of the cake. Ms. Donna who has always done our cakes was gone to spend time with her beautiful grand babies, so we had to find another cake person. A girl I work with made this neat cup-cake cake. It was the BEST as far as serving goes!!! Plus she did a great job on the design!

Colby was serious about his bowling! Ha ha!

Is this a sweet group of kids or what?!? I LOVE that Colby has such a wonderful group of friends to grow up with!

Colby we love you more than words can say!! Happy Birthday! You are our pride and joy!!!
