Thank God for My Kids

If it weren't for kids have you ever thought
There wouldn't be no Santa Clause
Look what the stork just brought
Thank God for Kids

We'd all live in a quiet house
Without Big Bird or a Mickey Mouse
And Kool-aid on the couch
Thank God for Kids

Thank God for kids there's magic for a while
A special kind of sunshine in a smile
Do you ever stop to think? or wonder why?
The nearest thing to Heaven is a child

Daddy how does this thing fly?
A hundred other where's and why's
You really don't know but we try
Thank God for Kids

When you look down in those trustin eyes
That look to you, you realize
Its love that you can't buy
Thank God for Kids

Thank God for there's magic for a while
A special kind of sunshine in a smile
Do you ever stop to think? or wonder why?
The nearest thing to Heaven is a child

When you get down on your knees tonight
To thank the Lord for his guiding light
And pray they turn out right
Thank God for Kids

Thank God for Kids

Dear Cooper

Wow Cooper. I can't believe you are already 8 months old!! Time seems to be flying by so quickly! You have settled into a great routine with time at your wonderful babysitter's house and time at home. You take about an hour nap in the morning and a couple of thirty minute cat naps in the afternoon. You sleep well at night overall, but get up about once a night on average right now.

You have yet to crawl or get any teeth, but you have lots of other tricks going on right now. You have learned to clap and love to do that while everyone around you says "Yay!" You grin and laugh every time.

You can REALLY make your walker go FAST!! You go from one end of the kitchen to the other over and over again. We get so tickled watching how you like to chase your brother to and fro. It is the sweetest thing! You also love to walk over to the door in your walker and look out at our dog Max.

You LOVE bath time! You take a bath each night with your big brother and you both splish and splash and laugh the entire time. Me and Daddy ALWAYS end up soaked (along with the floor and walls) by the time we pull the two of you out. It is priceless!

Another favorite thing of yours is looking in the mirror. I bought a new mirror for the bathroom and haven't hung it yet, so it is propped up in my room. You love to sit in front of it and "talk" to the baby!

Speaking of talking........In addition to Mama, Dada, and Bubu, you have started saying Nana now. That thrills your Nana's soul!

You are wearing 9-12 month clothing and we just moved up to a big boy car seat. I nearly died changing you from your infant carrier to the bigger seat, but I think you are much more comfortable in it now.

We love you sweet Cooper and can't wait to see what next month may bring along!!!

Love,
Mom

A Boy's Best Friend

Recently Cooper has discovered our dog, Max. Every time Max gets near Cooper starts to squeal and jump with excitement. I have come to find out that our big goofy dog and my sweet little baby have a lot in common.

They both like to stare at the other..........for several minutes at a time.

They both love to sit and watch Colby ride the dirt bike around the yard (which he has now wore a path around the house with!)

They both like just about any baby food. Cooper loves to eat it and then Max loves to lick it off of him!

And best of all they both give VERY slobbery kisses!!! I know you are cringing with disgust at this picture but please know we don't allow our dog to do this to our baby..........this was just an accidental face mauling while I was trying to take some sweet pictures!
