The Camera

As the mother of two I have taken thousands - perhaps millions - of pictures of my precious offspring. I try to dress them up and take pictures. I try to catch them in the act of something amazing to get a shot. I try to allow priceless moments to be frozen in time forever. Most often the kids don't cooperate.

These days it seems that Colby simply ignores me.......

And Cooper is content to try and eat the camera!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

On Sunday afternoon my family of four and my Mom and Dad headed out to Bowling Green Ballpark to watch the Hot Rods play. We had a wonderful time! Everyone had a blast. We hope to be able to catch more games next season!

Colby was definitely tuned in on all the action - until he got bored around the 7th inning!!

Cooper was happy to just look around and watch everything going on while chewing away on his paci.

My whole crew - except for me of course. Notice how the Mom is NEVER in the pictures! LOL!!

Oh HAPPY Day!!!!

Right now HAPPY doesn't even begin to cover the emotions I am feeling. As of tonight I have officially completed my Rank I degree in Special Education!!!!!!!

My college journey has taken 6.5 years total (although it has seemed like much more). I spent 4.5 years getting my elementary degree and then another 1.5 years getting my master's in elementary education. About 1.5 years ago I decided I was ready for a different direction in life and so I jumped into a special education program and I am SOOO glad I did! I teach resource Language Arts and Reading classes at Warren East Middle and I LOVE IT!!

This Rank I has been a lot of tough work, but it has been worth it. I took classes during my pregnancy and all during Cooper's life thus far. I even took classes only a week after he was born! This course was perfect for a Mom though because it was all online.

After hours spent in online classes, HUNDREDS of pages in the 123 papers I have written for this degree, and all the late nights and tears I have cried in frustration I FINALLY DID IT!!!!!

I am so proud of myself and thankful to my husband, parents, and friends for their support during this crazy process!

NO MORE CLASSES FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!! Time to celebrate!!!!

Precious

I love this sweet face so much. It always brightens my day. Just watching him discover and grow takes my breath away.

And I love this little guy more than words can say. He is learning and growing so much each day. He amazes me.

Thank you God for my two sweet boys!

Sleep Over

Colby did well during his first two weeks of school so as a reward he was able to have his sweet friend Daren come over and spend the night. We ventured to Chuck E. Cheese (ARGH!) and then had a blast at home. I love having a house full of little boys!!

These two are the best of friends! They love each other so much!

Cooper loved watching Colby and Daren. I don't think they minded now but when he becomes mobile - watch out!!

Have you ever seen such a mess????????????????????

This is my final post on this busy Saturday morning. (Be sure you read the next three posts too - I was SOOO behind!)

Dear Cooper

Welcome to 7 months old my little Prince! You are continuing to grow and amaze us daily! You can sit for as long as you like and you have gotten the "stem roller" down - that is you can roll anywhere you want to get. You don't crawl yet and I don't know that you every will because you dislike being on your tummy more than any child I have ever seen!

You are so curious. You love to watch your brother and the dog Max more than anything, but you don't let anything get by you at all. Every sound catches your attention and I love watching you focus. I joke with your wonderful babysitters that you are a nosy child because you have to sit up to take your bottle so you can see what is going on around you!

You love to touch Colby's face and pull on his hair. I have also loved seeing the two of you snuggle and hold hands when you are just hanging out. There is nothing that melts my heart faster than seeing you too together!

You laugh and jabber all the time. It is a constant flow of Ma Ma and Da Da and Bu Bu and Na Na coming out of your mouth along with the bubble blowing, shrieking, and sounds that mimic singing. I think you got your gift of gab from both of your parents! Look out teachers in a few years!

You have adjusted well to the new house and love taking a bath in the sink now - a new adventure to you just this past week. You have learned to splash in the water now so nothing seems to stay dry either!

You are a true joy and blessing and we love you more than you will ever know. Happy 7 months sweetheart!

First Day of School

Colby is officially a 1st grader! He is in Ms. Monica's room and we couldn't be happier! I am so proud of my big boy! Check out his first day pictures and his backpack and lunch box that was personalized by our good friends at Creekside Creations!

Catching Up

Be prepared for a series of posts! It has been nearly a month since my last post. We have had so much going on it has been insane!

To begin with, we have now moved. The house is not completely finished yet. We still need to work on the Master bedroom and paint the bathroom and hallway. The boys rooms are finished and the living room and kitchen are completely set up and I feel those were the most important things to get finished first. We LOVE the new place and feel like we have SO MUCH room now! Everyone has adjusted very well.

Here are just a few pictures of part of the new house. I will post more once everything is together and nice and tidy.

Up close picture of the textured paintable wallpaper we put on the "accent" wall in the living room.

Mantle and accent wall.

Cooper's room - so nice for him to have his own space!

Another shot of Cooper's room. Proud to say he has slept in his crib EVERY night!

It amazed me that no matter how bad the house looked the kids could still find a spot to play their DS!
