Ugh

I just wanted to let you all know it has been nice knowing you. I now have the stomach bug from Hell and am likely to die soon. Seriously. Never been this sick in my life. Wondering if I need to go to the ER so I don't dehydrate. Can keep nothing at all down and don't want to mess up baby.

On the up side Colby is better. Praying Jeremy doesn't take it. Have no clue how I will get my house clean and everything ready for Monday seeing as I can't sit up. Praying for a miracle!

My Sick Boy

Poor Colby has the stomach bug from HE%%! We are almost at the 24 hour mark and most people say it starts getting better after that point though so we are hopeful. He hasn't been able to keep anything down at all and was up every hour all night long and all day today. Poor thing. Dr. Kelly called us in some phenegran gel for behind the ears and it seems to have helped. Some.

I certainly hope that he gets better quickly and that neither Jeremy and I get it before Monday!

Speaking of Monday............I had an appointment with Dr. Lyons today and it is all set up and ready to go for Monday around noon! We are super excited (and super nervous) but we are ready to meet Cooper!

There will be house cleaning and quality time as a family of three for the next two days..........and then life as we know it is in for a change!!!

Enjoy the snowy weekend!

Snow Day Fun!

We stayed out way too long, but boy did we have fun! Enjoy the pictures!

Snow - Yipee!

What is it about snow that makes it so magical? Even as an adult, just the weather man's mention of snow makes me all excited in anticipation of a day off and play time outside. Now granted I would have been off today no matter what (bed rest is GROSS!) but I really wanted Colby home with me today!

One of the silly (but wonderful) people I work with told the kids that in order for it to snow outside you have to flush ice cubes down the toilet, so that is exactly what Colby and I did before we headed to bed (an hour too late for a school night) last night!

I haven't slept a wink all night long and I was really beginning to get nervous about the snow not coming at all around 4:00 am! But here it is and it seems to be piling up quickly. Good thing too, but I had already started drafting an apology letter to Colby's teacher in my head for his grumpiness today had he gone to school!

I plan to get Colby all bundled up later in the day and let him have at it outside. We always have so much fun playing in the snow! This year I will still go out and tromp around, but I won't be able to participate in my FAVORITE snow play activity.............jumping on the trampoline! If you haven't tried it.........do! It is dangerous and probably shouldn't be attempted, but it is the funniest thing I have ever seen!! One of our favorite family memories in the snow!

Have a wonderful Snow Day friends...........and if you have to get out, be careful!

For a Friend

I have a super sweet friend that has just started taking pictures! Her name is Angie Wingfield and she has opened a studio in Brownsville. You can visit her blog at www.angiewingfieldphoto.blogspot.com
I am so proud of her for venturing out and doing this on her own! It has been a dream for a while and now it is coming true! Great job Angie!

Reflecting

Today I had an appointment for a non stress test at Dr. Lyons office. Little Cooper didn't want to cooperate and apparently refused to move so he failed his test at the office and I was sent to the hospital for another test and an ultrasound.

Still being stubborn it took a while for him to decide to move around. The ultrasound tech spent nearly 30 minutes trying to get him to move enough to pass that movement test and he finally did! She showed me that he is close to 8 pounds by their estimates and that he has a head full of hair! We couldn't see his sweet face though because he is in a weird position and completely facing my spine.........which explains some of the pain I have been having.

Cooper will definitely be arriving on Monday around noon by c-section so please say a prayer for our family!

Since we are getting ready to celebrate Cooper's arrival I wanted to take time and reflect back on Colby's arrival in our lives 5 and a half years ago. As you know he decided to come out two months early and only weighed 2 lbs 15 ounces. He spent a month in the NICU and then we got to bring him home. His first year of life was rough due to a low immune system which has since corrected itself and now he is healthy as a horse!

God has truly blessed our families with two miracle babies and we are so thankful to Him! Enjoy the pictures of my wonderful first born son!!

Still Waiting

We're still hanging out and waiting on baby Cooper. Thanks for the calls, facebook contacts, and emails from so many sweet friends to check on us! They are still saying "You could go at any time" which truly makes me want to punch someone in the face! Jeremy has gone back to work tonight so I am terrified of going into labor here alone, but all will be okay. I see Dr. Lyons on Tuesday and Friday and if nothing has happened before then we will be greeting little man on the 11th. Keep us in your prayers!
