What a Fun Week!

Colby is tougher than the dinosaurs!

Look out Daddy and Colby! You're about to get eaten by T-rex!

Colby in the boneyard dig.

May-May and Colby at the circus!

Last week we were able to do several fun things with our family. On Wednesday my sister, Colby's Aunt May-May, called to see if we wanted to go to the circus. We had a fun time with her. Colby loved the elephants and tigers. The pictures of the show did not turn out, but we were able to get a really cool sword to remember the night.

On Saturday Colby, Jeremy, and myself traveled to Cave City to visit Dinosaur World. Colby loves looking at all the dinosaurs and talking about if they ate meat, plants, or both. He also loves talking about which dinosaurs look "mean" or "nice". The fossil dig and the boneyard were Colby's favorite parts of the day! It was a beautiful day and a great way to enjoy some quality family time!

The Way Children Think

My wonderful little boy!

Today Colby and I were jumping on the trampoline and during one of our little "breaks" we were listening to the sounds around us. I told him to listen real closely and tell me what he could hear. He said "Well, I hear a bird and a cricket. And I hear myself!"

Great answer little man. So then I told him to look around and tell me what he could see. He pointed to the "clouds" left behind by a rocket ship in the sky. I asked him where he thought the rocket ship was going and he said to me, "I don't really know, but if I had a rocket ship I would put lots of gas in it and go see God. Rocket ships can take up up so high you go to heaven."

How sweet and innocent is that. I am constantly amazed at the things that Colby says and the way he thinks. I love watching him grow into the amazing little boy he has become. I love being his mother and I am thankful for him each and every day!

Thank You Lord!

Lord, I have been very down in the dumps the past few days. It seems like nothing has gone my way. I believe you have a plan for me Lord so I will patiently wait.

Lord, thank you for my family. My husband, son, sister, and parents. They are always there to lend a helping hand and to give me the courage I need to face the days that are tough.

Lord, thank you for my friends. They listen to me cry and vent and yet they don't complain. Thank you for bringing me such inspirational people to share my life with.

Lord, thank you for my health and all my other many blessings. Help me to grow stronger in faith and love each day. Please bless my loved ones and take care of those who are in need.

Lord, continue to give me the knowledge and strength I need to make it through life's daily challenges. Let me be the person you want me to be.

Colby's New Bike

Look at Colby go!

Jeremy giving Colby a little push.

Colby got a new bike over the weekend. He loves riding it and is doing very well, all with the help of training wheels and that Vincent determination his Daddy has passed on to him. Each afternoon we go walking along the gravel rode behind our house while Colby peddles his bike. Every once in a while he needs a little push to get going again and Daddy and I are there to give it.

Not much changes from this childhood scene to adulthood, does it? No matter what age we are there are times when we all need a little push. I'm thankful I have family and friends there to give it to me too!
